Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has urged Republican voters to turn out for Tuesday's midterm elections, warning that sitting the election out would hand Democrats control of Congress and the power to pursue the investigations, impeachment efforts and policies she opposes.
Luna, who represents Florida's 13th Congressional District, made the appeal days before voters head to the polls on November 3, telling supporters to remember what she described as the stakes of the election and to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
In her message, Luna pointed to the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, who was shot dead while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Luna, the first Turning Point USA alumna elected to Congress, said voters should remember which party, in her words, celebrated Kirk's assassination. That characterization is Luna's; Tyler Robinson was arrested and charged over the killing, including aggravated murder, and the case remains before the courts.
Luna also criticized Biden-era border policies, arguing that voters who stay home risk returning to the policies of the previous administration. She warned that a Democratic majority would use its power against President Donald Trump, describing that prospect as weaponization of government power. In the clip, she also pointed to the killing of a Ukrainian immigrant woman on a train as an example of the consequences she attributes to Democratic policies, and warned that staying home on Tuesday would amount to a vote for a Speaker Jeffries-led House and two years of weaponized investigations against Trump.
The appeal comes as Luna herself faces re-election in Florida's 13th District against Democratic challenger Leela Gray, a retired Army brigadier general. Trump endorsed Luna's re-election bid on October 30, praising her as a "MAGA Warrior" and citing her work on economic growth, tax cuts and American energy.
