No stage, no glam squad, no entourage. A video making the rounds on Monday shows Cardi B with a mop in her hands, cleaning the patio at her grandparents' home in the Dominican Republic — working like she never left.
REVOLT shared the clip, captioning it "She'll always be a family-oriented" star, and it pulled in thousands of likes within minutes. In the video, Cardi — pink top, dark shorts, hair pulled up — pushes the mop across the wet tiles while family members hose down the patio around her, the chairs stacked upside down on the table. An older relative stands a few feet away holding a little girl dressed in pink.
It should not surprise anyone who has listened to her talk about family. The Dominican Republic is her father's homeland, and Cardi has never hidden how much her grandparents shaped her. She has told the story of her grandmother raising ten children in a wooden house, going back to farm work after giving birth to make cheese and sell mangoes — and she once laughed that her grandmother put her own daughter, Kulture, to work scrubbing floors on a family trip to the island, like any other kid in the house.
"Like right now I really wish I was in the Dominican Republic with my kids and my grandparents. That's what I really want to be and where I want to be at." — Cardi B, September 2026
She said that just last month at Create & Cultivate in Los Angeles, admitting that "being Cardi" has become a full-time business that keeps her away from the people she loves most. Her empire is reportedly worth around $120 million, with a haircare line, Grow Good, added to the music money.

None of that was on display in the patio video. No cameras of her own, no performance — just a broom, a wet floor, and house rules that clearly apply to everybody, superstar or not. The clip is still spreading, and the reaction from fans has been the same everywhere: fame never changed her grandparents' house.
Never miss a story.
