EXPOSED: James Talarico just changed his story about his flu diagnosis — originally he said he went to urgent care in Dallas, now he claims he only saw his primary care doctor in Austin.
The Texas Democrat's mysterious two-week vanishing act from the campaign trail keeps getting harder to explain. First he disappeared without a word — an absence so strange that Elon Musk publicly demanded answers. Then came the flu explanation. Now even the flu story won't stay straight.
First version: urgent care in Dallas. New version: his primary care doctor in Austin. Dallas or Austin — a candidate for the United States Senate ought to be able to keep his own medical story straight across two sentences.
The shifting details raise the question that has hung over this race for weeks: what actually happened during those missing two weeks? When the small, checkable facts keep changing, voters are right to wonder about the bigger ones.
Talarico is asking Texans to trust him with a Senate seat while offering an account that gets revised every time someone looks closely at it. That is not how you close a credibility gap — that is how you dig it deeper.
With the race drawing national attention, every new version of the story hands his opponents fresh ammunition. Texans deserve a straight answer, not a moving target.
Musk's challenge still stands unanswered: where was James Talarico for two weeks — and why does the story keep changing?
