Karoline Leavitt is headed to Fox News. The former White House press secretary, who left the podium in August to be with her kids, starts November 1 as an on-air contributor. Same energy, new set.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott announced the signing this morning. Leavitt will do political analysis and commentary across Fox platforms — as a contributor, not as the host of her own show.
She's already a former press secretary. She left the podium in August 2026, after Trump said on August 12 that she was stepping down to spend more time with her two young children and would stay on as an outside adviser. She served from January 2025 to August 2026 and was the youngest person ever to hold the job. She's moved back to New Hampshire with her family — and CNN reported Fox agreed to build a studio in her home. She's also been working with the Trump-aligned MAGA Inc. super PAC and recently appeared on Hannity.
She's the second Trump press secretary to land at Fox, after Kayleigh McEnany — who went from contributor to co-host of Outnumbered. That's the playbook, and Leavitt is following it.
For the MAGA world, this is a win. Leavitt was one of the administration's sharpest communicators — young, combative, unflappable at the podium — and putting her on Fox's air keeps one of Trump's best messengers in front of millions every week. The left spent two years trying to rattle her at briefings and never managed it; now she gets to do the talking on her own terms.
The critics will frame it as the predictable revolving door — Trump official cashes in at friendly media. But that's a tired line. Every administration's communicators land in media; the Obama alumni practically built podcast networks. The difference is that Leavitt's audience actually wants to hear from her.
One note on sourcing: the Instagram account pushing this story, karoline.hq, is a fan page — not Leavitt or Fox. The "BREAKING" framing is directionally accurate, but the precise role is contributor starting November 1, per Fox's own announcement.
