Kid Rock and Eminem are reportedly teaming up for a Christian album — despite their opposing political views.
Kid Rock told Lara Trump's "My View," which aired Saturday, that Eminem guests on "7 Sins," a track from his new faith-based project "Halfway 2 Jesus," due out October 17.
According to Fox News, the two Detroit legends have known each other for nearly 40 years — and made a pact long ago not to let politics destroy their friendship.
"Let's not let politics divide us," Kid Rock said of the pact that has kept the friendship alive through decades of culture wars.
It's an unlikely pairing on paper. Kid Rock is one of Trump's most visible celebrity allies — he spoke at Saturday's Clarksville rally ahead of the president's speech and just this week sounded the alarm on Islamism in Michigan. Eminem, meanwhile, has been one of Trump's fiercest celebrity critics, famously torching the president in freestyles and interviews.
Now Kid Rock hopes his renewed focus on faith — and plans for stadium-sized Christian revivals — can help bring people together. The reported collaboration would be a striking example of how personal relationships can survive even when political beliefs differ.
The album announcement lands as Kid Rock leans fully into his faith era — trading bar-room anthems for revival tents, and bringing one of hip-hop's biggest names along for the ride.
At a time when political divisions keep shaping American culture, the Detroit duo is betting that music and faith can bridge the gap.
Would you listen to a Christian album featuring Kid Rock and Eminem? And can their friendship teach America something about looking beyond politics?
