Sen. Mike Lee isn't letting this one slide. The Utah senator is demanding the Supreme Court take up and overturn a federal judge's ruling that invalidated a federal law making it a crime for noncitizens to vote in national elections.
Lee torched the decision as "insane," arguing it guts efforts to draw a hard federal line against noncitizen voting. The ruling has kicked off a bigger legal fight over how far the federal government's power goes in regulating federal elections — and the constitutional limits on Congress itself.
Lee says the case belongs at the Supreme Court. And he's not waiting around: he's still pushing the SAVE Act to lock down election integrity once and for all.
