Russia told foreign diplomats to get out of Kyiv on Saturday, warning it will keep striking the Ukrainian capital in response to what it calls Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilians and infrastructure.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said its forces are "continuing to systematically carry out targeted strikes on military facilities in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities," and warned foreign nationals against traveling to Ukraine. "Responsibility for any adverse consequences lies entirely with those who ignore this warning," it said.
President Vladimir Putin said this week that Ukraine is "paying the price" for its own attacks on Russia. Kyiv has reported strikes on infrastructure including a bridge across the Dnipro, with the capital's 3 million residents bracing ahead of winter. Both sides deny deliberately targeting civilians.
