Talk about a friendly ex. Tobey Maguire didn't just show up to his ex-wife's wedding — he officiated the whole thing, just weeks after their divorce became official.
The Spider-Man star, 51, stood at the center of the ceremony on Saturday, October 10, as jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, 49, married music executive Geoffrey Ogunlesi at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. Meyer and Maguire were legally declared single on September 21, nearly 10 years after they separated and six years after filing for divorce.
The groom, 34, is the founder and CEO of The Ogunlesi Group, an entertainment and music management company — and the son of Nigerian billionaire investor Adebayo Ogunlesi, co-founder of Global Infrastructure Partners. The couple were first linked in the summer of 2023, announced their engagement in August 2024, and welcomed a baby daughter earlier this year.
It was a star-studded affair. Leonardo DiCaprio attended with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, Jeff Bezos arrived with wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos, and Courteney Cox, Kate Hudson, and stylist Rachel Zoe were also among the guests.
All three of Meyer's children were there, including Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17, whom she shares with Maguire. Meyer has been open about how close the blended family remains. "He is an incredible father. He is an incredible ex-husband. And Geoff loves him and he loves Geoff," she said earlier this year, adding that "the cutest part is Tobey and my fiancé, Geoff, love each other so much."
Maguire and Meyer married in 2007 and announced their separation in 2016. Their divorce proceedings dragged on for years before the marriage was officially dissolved last month. Some matters connected to the divorce, including support and asset issues, still need to be resolved privately.
Whether or not you'd want your ex officiating your wedding, there's no denying this one is a level of amicable most people never reach. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
