Tommy Tuberville isn't tiptoeing around it anymore.
The Alabama senator stood on the Senate floor beside a towering "BAN SHARIA LAW" sign and demanded Sharia be banned across the entire country.
"There is only room for one law in this country, and that's the Constitution of the United States of America," Tuberville declared.
He pointed to Nigeria, where he said radical Islamic terrorists are carrying out what he called a mass genocide of Christians. More than 62,000 Christians have been slaughtered since 2000, Tuberville claimed — and more than 7,000 Nigerian Christians murdered for their faith this year alone. (These are Tuberville's claims, attributed to him.)
"You can't turn on the TV without hearing about Israel's so-called 'mass genocide' of Palestinians — every day," he said. "And yet when it comes to 62,000 Christians being slaughtered by radical Muslims, it's radio silence."
Tuberville didn't stop at foreign policy. Anyone in America who believes Sharia law supersedes American law "should be deported immediately," he said, calling the ideology "straight from the pit of hell."
He praised Texas for already taking action to ban Sharia law within its borders and urged every other state to follow suit.
"If we don't take a stand now, our way of life, our Christian values, our freedoms, and our national identity will disappear," he warned. "Not now, not ever."
