Elizabeth Warren got ambushed in a Capitol hallway — and her answer raised more questions than it settled.
LindellTV reporter Alison Steinberg pressed the Massachusetts senator: "Why do Democrats keep voting to block common-sense legislation, like voter ID?"
"We support voter ID," Warren shot back. "What we don't support is voter suppression and trying to keep Americans from voting."
Pressed further on why Democrats voted against the Ratepayer Protection Act — aimed at shielding families and small businesses from energy costs driven by massive new electricity users like data centers — Warren waved it off.
She called it "a fake bill," arguing states can already handle those rules, and blamed Republicans for having "700 days to lower costs for American families" without doing it.
The exchange comes as the SAVE America Act fight dominates Washington. The House passed the bill 218-213, requiring documentary proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote in every state for the first time. It now faces an uncertain future in the Senate.
Democrats call it voter suppression. Republicans call it common sense. Polls show 95% of Republicans and 71% of Democrats favor photo ID requirements for voting.
Warren kept walking.
