Republican Representative Paul Gosar has won re-election in Arizona's 9th Congressional District, defeating Democratic challenger Dani (Danielle) Sterbinsky in the Nov. 3, 2026, midterm elections.
The Associated Press called the race for Gosar. Its results showed Gosar with 138,732 votes to Sterbinsky's 101,203, with about 83% of precincts reporting, or about 57.8% to 42.2%. An earlier count cited in the Instagram graphic put the split at 57.7% to 42.1%.
Gosar has represented Arizona in Congress since 2011.
His win comes as Democrats have taken control of both chambers of Congress, so he returns to a House under Democratic control.
Sterbinsky, a Navy veteran, was the Democratic nominee. The race had been rated safely Republican.
