Update #9: Interim Police Chief Angelica Maze Also Resigned Over the Kohen Wiley Shooting

Reuters reports interim chief Angelica Maze also stepped down on Friday, October 23, alongside Sgt. Hunter Foster, who fatally shot Kohen Wiley, 1, in a Walmart parking lot on June 14. Foster's lawyer said he resigned "for the good of the city and the police department and to permit the process of healing." The attorney general ruled the shooting justified; the family, represented by Ben Crump, is calling for a federal investigation and says accountability cannot end at the resignation. Foster remains certified as an officer.
